Book now for Words + Music, a special book event for secondary students at the State Library of Victoria. Places are limited.
Michael Gerard Bauer, Ursula Dubosarsky and William Kostakis explore the connection between writing and music in a special event for secondary students.
The three writers are paired with live performers: rock, opera and pop are the soundtrack to this reading life.
Musicians include Year 10 student Atlanta Townshend, currently a member of the Australia Girls Choir; rock legend Kim Salmon, and baritone opera singer, Adrian Tamburini.

‘All art aspires to the condition of music’, wrote art historian Walter Pater. So what do these three writers, whose work is inspired by different kinds of music, aim to create? Why music matters and how it plays its way into their books is the subject for discussion. This unique exploration of stories and music includes live music.
